Principal

 Se-Se-Wa-Hum School Principal Se-Se-Wa-Hum School located in Big River First Nation, is seeking a principal to join their administration team for the 2024-2025 school year.  Duties and Responsibilities·       Implementing a curriculum for academic success while maintaining compliance with government guidelines.·       Coordinating schedules for staff designed to optimize efficiency and workplace satisfaction.·       Creating goals and benchmarks for students and teachers alike to track progress·       Developing programs to improve overall student and Teacher performance·       Meeting with the school board to report the status and progress of the school·       Meeting with parents to discuss concerns about students Requirements:·       A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.·       Successful administrative experience at the elementary, middle and/or secondary years level.·       Bachelor of Education degree and graduate degree in education from an accredited institution·       Eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional “A” or Provisional Professional “A” teaching certificate·       A thorough understanding of secondary programs.·       Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.·       Familiarity and experience with northern and indigenous education.
