Nunavut schools are currently focused on improving literacy outcomes for all students and ensuring students’ learning experiences are culturally relevant and respectful.Located in the picturesque hamlet of Kugluktuk, Jimmy Hikok Ilihakvik Elementary School serves the community of Kugluktuk. The school has a population of approximately 215 students in a K-6 setting with a staff of 29. The school and community are steeped in a rich history of Inuit culture.Required qualifications:Bachelor of Education degree or Pending DegreeTeaching certification acceptable for Nunavut Teaching CertificateIn the event that this competition becomes an open until filled posting, this position may be offered as a one year term under Letter of Authority. Desired qualifications:Experience and / or training with current assessment methodsEvidence of differentiated instruction and inclusive practicesExperience and / or training in classroom management practices and the development of positive learning environments (eg.
