Early Childhood Educator

Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Educator for a private, in-home teaching role to provide personalized instruction to a gifted 3-year-old student. This 2-month summer contract focuses on fostering the child’s reading and numeracy skills through engaging, tailored educational activities. The role requires a passionate educator who can create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment in the child’s home in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities:●      Design and deliver individualized lesson plans focused on developing early reading (phonics, sight words, comprehension) and numeracy skills (number recognition, basic arithmetic, problem-solving).●      Create engaging, age-appropriate activities to support the child’s intellectual and developmental growth.●      Assess and monitor the child’s progress, providing regular feedback to parents/guardians.●      Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment in the child’s home.●      Adapt teaching methods to suit the child’s gifted learning abilities and unique needs.●      Maintain open communication with parents to align on educational goals and progress.Required Qualifications:●      Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the pre-kindergarten level.●      Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma or equivalent certification.●      Proven expertise in teaching early reading and numeracy skills.●      Must be based in Toronto, Richmond Hill, or North Toronto area.●      Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for commuting to the child’s home in Richmond Hill.Preferred Qualifications:●      Experience working with gifted children or in one-on-one educational settings.●      Creative and adaptable teaching style with a focus on hands-on, interactive learning.Work Environment:●      Teaching will take place in the child’s home in Richmond Hill, Ontario.●      The educator will work independently with the child, with parents/guardians available for collaboration and support.●      Flexible scheduling within the summer period, to be mutually agreed upon.Compensation:●      Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience (to be discussed during interview).Interested candidates should email their CVs to jobs@lightchainventures.com for review.
