Oklahoma City Public Schools invites applications for the following position: Elementary Teacher-Remedial Specialist/Academic Achievement-General Location: Monroe Elementary School School Year: 2025-2026 Position Summary: Create a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishing an effective rapport with pupils; motivating pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for education, in accordance with each pupil’s ability; and establishing good relationships with parents and with other staff members. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field.Oklahoma Teaching Certification in Elementary Education in subjects listed below or subjects or Alternative Teaching Certification as approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.General Requirements: Elementary Education (1-8); Middle Level English (5-8); must meet Highly Qualified Requirements.Reading Requirements: Reading Specialist; Early Childhood; Middle Level English; Elementary Education; must meet Highly Qualified Requirements.Must possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, demonstrate self-discipline and initiative, and follow state and district guidelines.
