Buffalo River Dene Nation School is currently seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher Position: A Special Education Teacher  Salary and Benefits:  According to the provincial salary grid plus subsidized, furnished housing, a Northern living allowance and other benefits.  An additional allowance is paid for qualified candidates assigned supervisory duties. Qualifications:Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher’s Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)For Specialist: Certificate or M.Ed. in Special Education or a related field of study. For SERT: B.Ed. with 2 years experience as an SST in Saskatchewan. What we are looking for:Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in Canada.Teaching experience teaching in a First Nations school.Committed to participating in community and school extracurricular activities.Commitment to professional development and self-directed learningExperience with administrative duties and managing staffKnowledge of or familiar with Following Their Voices  Description:The position is primarily a special education role (K-12) supporting students, collaborating with teachers, and communicating with parents. Please submit your resume, three professional references, and a current criminal record check inclusive of the vulnerable sector check to Sarah Cooke, Principal. We wish to thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those applicants shortlisted for interviews will be contacted.
