CTE: Law & Public Safety

Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: CTE: Law & Public Safety School Year: 2025-2026 Location: District Job Overview: The Teacher CTE Law and Public Safety will plan and implement an instructional program and provide related educational services for students in assigned grade levels. The incumbent will manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify/control instructional activities as required. Instructional delivery will provide students with real world experiences relevant to the industry today. Any teacher who will coach a UIL sport will also provide athletic services related to that athletic sport and the athletic program. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's degree In appropriate field including course work in the subject or program to which assigned upon hireMaster's degree PreferredValid Appropriate CTE Teaching Certification, issued by Texas Education AgencyValid Law or Public Safety Industry lIcense or Certification appropriate for the teaching assignmentRequired Compliance TrainingValid Driver's license with CDL Certification Preferred if coaching a UIL sportMinimum of 2 years Minimum of 2 years of wage earning work experience within the last 10 years Qualifying Fields: Law Enforcement and Public SafetyCoaching experience preferred if coaching a UIL sportDemonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialtyDemonstrated knowledge of appropriate technology equipment and software programsProven ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programsAbility to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including the needs and abilities of studentsAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parentsExcellent communication skills, both oral and written
