Summary About the Position: Serves as Early Childhood Special Educator for Early Intervention Services (EIS) of the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) program, at the Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (BDAACH), Dept of Surgery, Audiology Services/Speech Pathology Services, United States Army Medical Department Activities, Camp Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, Republic of Korea. Through a robust healthcare delivery system, and a dedicated team of inspired professionals, the Agency ensures the worldwide delivery of medical, dental, and pharmacy programs to more than 9.5 million uniformed service members, retirees, and their families, by improving health and building readiness Anytime, Anywhere-Always.Major Duties: Provide consultation and technical assistance to other early intervention team members and agencies within the AOR (e.g., Child Development Services etc.). Maintain all documentation of services and completes data entry in the government automated system for capturing data and documentation of services to children with special needs. Discuss assessment results with parents and provide written and oral reports of evaluation and provide feedback to referral sources. Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team, including the parents, for the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Ensure the IFSP is completed in a timely manner and is reviewed/updated at least every six months. Analyze the local community to establish and implement activities to identify children in the local Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) Area of Responsibility (AOR) who may require early intervention services (EIS). Collaborate with Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) referral sources, service providers, day care workers and others who interact with children and their families. Participate with a multidisciplinary team in conducting developmental assessments of children who may have complex developmental needs.
