 NORTHERN NISHNAWBE EDUCATION COUNCIL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY  NNEC is a non-profit educational organization, under the direction of the Sioux Lookout District Chiefs, NNEC delivers secondary and post-secondary education programs and services for First Nations people.  NNEC operates Pelican Falls First Nations High School, Pelican Falls Centre, Pelican Falls Wellness Centre, Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School, Wahsa Distance Education Centre and has offices in Lac Seul (head office), Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.  NNEC welcomes applications for the following position: NNEC TEACHER COACHPelican Falls First Nation High School (PFFNHS)/Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School (DFCHS)/ WAHSA Distance Education Centre The Teacher Coach provides improved support and mentorship for the teaching staff at NNEC schools.  The Teacher Coach must be a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  The Teacher Coach will provide support through building professional networks and collaborations, identifying and coordinator professional learning opportunities and work with teaching staff to develop strategies to address individual student needs.  QUALIFICATIONSMust be a member of Ontario College of TeachersOntario Intermediate/Senior teacher certificate of qualificationsLeadership skills demonstrated at the school and system levelsExcellent organization, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and consultation skillsExperience networking with external partnersExperience teaching First Nation students an assetComputer literacyAbility to speak a District First Nations language an assetMust be willing and able to travel and have the ability to work flexible hoursLOCATION:    Sioux Lookout or Thunder BaySALARY:             Based on Education and Experience **NNEC thanks all applicants in advance; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
