Location: Elementary (Jk-Gr. 8) OVERVIEW:Under the direction of the Special Education Resource teacher, the Behavior Intervention worker works collaboratively with the student’s educational team and parents / guardians to develop and implement intervention strategies (positive behavior supports) for the classroom and within the school environment that allows the student to integrate behaviourally into the school setting successfully. Qualifications & Skills: ·      Diploma in Social Work or equivalent·      Ability to write letters, reports, funding proposals and other correspondence.·      Implement and model social skill development techniques, including social stories, peer facilitation, and peer training for the purpose of assisting in achieving academic, social, emotional and behavioral goals.·      Implement behavioral plans designed by the Special Education Team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions for the purpose of assisting in meeting students’ needs and providing a positive and consistent learning environment.·      Assist in the preparation and adaptation of instructional materials for the purpose of providing activities and materials that facilitate student learning and performance.·      Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.·      Ability to adapt to a variety of situations and to remain calm under stress.·      Ability to maintain and promote confidentialityBenefits:·       A supportive and welcoming school environment.·       Opportunities for professional growth and cultural learning.·       Competitive salary and benefits in alignment with qualifications and experience.·       The chance to be part of something meaningful—empowering young leaders for the future.Closing Date:  Wednesday, July 30, 2025Interested persons should send their written resume along with 3 references to:                          Monica John-GeorgeHuman Resources / Finance ManagerConstance Lake Education Authority     monica.john-george@mhec.education705-463-1199 ext. 126
