This is a 2-year term position beginning August 25, 2025.Charles Yohin School is a small school with approximately 11 students, within driving distance (under 100 km) to the larger community of Fort Liard, NT, and under 300 km to Fort Nelson BC, for most of the year.Access is by water taxi or winter road.  Nahanni Butte is a stunningly beautiful community and it is the gateway to Nahanni National Park.  Candidates making an application for this Principal position will have:a Northwest Territories Professional Teaching Certificate (or be eligible for one);Northwest Territories Principal Certification (completed or required to complete the Education Leadership Program);A minimum of five years experience teaching at various levels;Demonstrated successful educational leadership experience;Ability to successfully use technology including school-based applications for attendance and student demographics (SIS);Experience in cross-cultural and multi-grade classrooms;Experience in Inclusive Schooling leadership;Superior interpersonal and communication skills;Superior administrative and organizational skills.Additional education,including a master's degree in education, principal qualifications and other additional leadership qualifications, and experience teaching and leading with BC Curriculum are considered assets.   We invite applicants to submit their professional portfolio by email to teacherrecruitment@ddec.ca First review of applicants will take place on August 14, 2025.
