Ross Macdonald School – Brantford·      Primary/Junior/Intermediate and/or Senior division qualifications required.       You will:·      Provide individual/group programs of instruction for students who are blind, deafblind and/or low vision;·      Develop Individual Education Plans including curriculum expectations and assessment;·      Provide regular communication to parents regarding school and classroom activities;·      Participate in professional development activities. What we are looking for: Qualifications:·      Must be Certified and in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT); teacher candidates with a Transitional Certificate or with pending OCT are welcome to apply;·      Teaching Students who are Blind/Low Vision, Specialist & Teaching Students who are Deafblind qualifications, or willingness to work towards obtaining this additional qualification.·      Appropriate subject(s) and division qualifications for the position. Abilities:·      Ability and proven experience teaching students who are blind and/or low vision in academic programs and/or alternative programs for students identified with multiple exceptionalities.·      Knowledge of and ability to apply curriculum adaptations, methods, and learning materials to support students who are blind and/or low vision.·      Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders, including excellent interpersonal/communication skills and proficient braille skills.·      Ability to effectively manage a classroom and students using a variety of behavioural management techniques.·      Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Location: W.
