Summary This position is located on the Island of Oahu, School Age Services. This position is entitled to 8.64% COLA. COLA is subject to change without notice. DoD approved commissary privileges to CYS employees. This temporary approval expires 31 Dec 2025. MWR CYS Employee Childcare Fee Discounts Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours). First Child: 100% childcare fee discount and 25% thereafter. Incentives will not be paid. Accept this challenge and become an important team member of the Child and Youth School Services. Applicants may be required to do occasional weekend and late night work. As an added employee incentive, the Department of Defense (DoD) granted approval to extend temporary limited commissary privileges (excluding the purchase of tobacco or alcohol products) to CYS employees. This temporary approval expires 31 December 2025.Major Duties: Serves as a CYS Supervisory Program Specialist with responsibility for supervising CYS direct care staff (minimum of 8 ratios of children in a Child Development Center (Ages 0-5) or 6 ratios of children/youth in a School-Age Program or Youth. Prepares work schedules to meet ratio and group size requirements. provides program oversight and accountability. Monitors and analyzes adult/participant ratio sheets to ensure proper staffing to ensure children are supervised at all times. Assists with recruitment and selection of caregiving staff utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions. Supervises and evaluates employees based on established performance standards as required. Ensures timely submission of personnel actions. Assists directors and training specialist to plan, coordinate, and implement activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of children and youth. Acts as Assistant Director or Director in their absence up to 20% of the time. May work in additional CYS facilities for the purposes of providing management oversight for evening or weekend openings.
