 Amos Okemow Memorial Education Authority invites Qualified Candidates to apply for the following Full-Time teacher position at Manto Sipi Cree Nation School located at God's River for the 2025-26 Academic YearMiddle Years Teacher Start Date: August 25, 2025 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain a Manitoba Teaching Certificate OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor of Education degree with Middle Years focusKnowledge of Indigenous PerspectivesCollaborative, ability to work as a team, exceptional communication skillsKnowledge of best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessmentExcellent organizational and classroom management skillsAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers, students, parents, and outside agencies, as demonstrated through written and verbal skillsPrevious experience working in a First Nation Community would be an asset. Job Duties include:Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations and laboratory, shop, and field studiesPrepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculumPrepare, administer, and correct testsParticipate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshopsEvaluate the progress of students and discuss results with students, parents, and school officialsAssign and correct homework God's River (Manto Sipi Cree Nation) is a remote First Nations community located at the mouth of God’s River located approximately 660 km northeast of Winnipeg serviced by Perimeter Aviation and Northway Air. These airlines provide daily service to Thompson and Winnipeg. Our School is a Nursery - Grade 12 Facility with approximately 316 students.
