The school is supported by a professional staff of 30 plus teachers and a full complement of support staff. Our focus for the Bernard Constant Community School will see a Trauma Sensitive Programming, a comprehensive Cree Language Program for all grades and divisions, a Land Based Learning Program, a Cultural Program, a Sports Academy Program and a Treaty Essential Learning Program.聽 Applicants who can speak the Cree Language, and can display knowledge of, and working experience in the other noted areas will be considered assets.聽聽Position Title聽Adult Education Support Worker 聳 Male聽聽Key Responsibilities1.聽 Learner Support路聽聽聽聽 Provide one-on-one and group support to adult learners in areas such as time management, study skills, and goal setting.路聽聽聽聽 Assist learners in accessing necessary resources, including academic materials, technology, and community services.路聽聽聽聽 Address barriers to learning, such as transportation, childcare, or access to technology, and connect learners to appropriate services.2.聽 Administrative Support路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and program participation.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in the preparation and distribution of program materials.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate learner registration, enrollment, and orientation processes.3.聽 Program Coordination路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with the Principal and adult education instructors to ensure program alignment with learner needs.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help organize workshops, events, and learning opportunities to enrich the adult education program.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Promote the program through outreach and community engagement efforts.4.聽 Communication and Advocacy路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Act as a liaison between adult learners, instructors, and administration.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Advocate for adult learner needs within the school and broader community.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide regular updates to the principal on program challenges and successes.5.聽 Professional Development路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Stay informed about best practices in adult education and support strategies.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in relevant training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.QualificationsGrade 12 Diploma (or equivalent experience).Experience working with adult learners or in an educational setting is an asset.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Knowledge of community resources and support services.Cultural competency and an understanding of the unique needs of Indigenous learners.聽Work EnvironmentThe Adult Education Support Worker will operate within a school environment and may be required to visit learners at community locations or other educational sites. Some evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate learner schedules.
