This is a Part Time Contract position for 20 hours a week for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.ResponsibilitiesRespond to and manage emergent and non-emergent health concernsProvide counselling services to students, parents, faculty and staff regarding mental and physical health concernsEducate students, parents, faculty and staff regarding current trends in communicable diseases, general health and well-being, and prevention tactics for longevityReview and maintain medical documentation as it applies to the health status of a student or faculty/staff memberPerform nursing procedures within licensed scope of practice and as per established nursing policies and procedures guidelinesRequired qualificationsCurrent BCCNP registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)Valid Basic Life Support (HCP) CertificationA minimum 2 years experience in a pediatric setting and/or acute care settingOFA 2 or 3 Certification an assetEffective management skills and ability to prioritize tasksAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleaguesDiscretion regarding the handling of sensitive and confidential information pertaining to student, parent, faculty and staffCanadian residency and legally entitled to work in CanadaOur “Must Haves”Respect, dignity and inclusion for all members of the communityCollaborative mind-set and courageous approach to adversityDemonstrated communications skills (oral and written)Creative “out-of-the-box” thinkerFlexible and adaptable and embraces changeProven work ethic with utmost integrityEnthusiasm, eagerness and genuine interest in all aspects of the school’s successSelf-awareness, with a desire for constant self improvement (goal-oriented)We offer professional development opportunities, competitive salaries, a generous benefits package, health and wellness initiatives, along with one of the most beautiful locations in Canada to work!The annual hiring range for this position is from $29,153 to $32,776. Candidates with strong skills and experience may be considered for a higher starting salary.
