 Position: PrincipalLocation: Nawigizigweyas Education Centre in Yellow Quill First Nation Date Posted: June 12, 2025Reports to: Director of EducationClassification: Full-TimeDepartment: EducationCompetition: OPEN UNTIL FILLED  POSITION SUMMARY:  The Nawigizigweyas Education Centre is a vibrant Saulteaux First Nation community that provides a full range of K-12 programs and services for approximately 300 students. We are seeking a passionate instructional leader to manage the day-to-day administration and operations of the school. We are committed to enhancing educational outcomes and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all students and staff. RESPONSIBILTIES:• Leading and managing the school's instructional program.• Providing leadership and support to teachers and staff.• Collaborating with parents and community members.• Ensuring student success and well-being.• Managing the school budget and resources.• Implementing school policies and procedures.• Implementing a successful Saulteaux Land Based Program. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Master of Education with a specialization in Educational Administration.• Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate or be eligible for one.• Minimum 8 years of experience as a school principal.• Proven strong leadership and management skills.• Strong interpersonal skills.• Strong written communication and reporting skills.• Experience working in First Nation communities. REQUIRED SKILLS:• Ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and community members.• Strong instructional leadership skills.• Ability to create a positive and inclusive school environment.• Proficiency in data analysis and school improvement planning.
