It is one of the largest and most unique schools in the province. The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus and daily air service. Subjects to be taught include English Language Arts, Geography and Reading is Thinking. Qualifications: •       Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)•       A sound knowledge of provincial High School curricula•       Previous High School teaching experience•       Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life•       Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum•       Strong classroom management skills•       Experience working in a northern community•       Experience working with students with unique needs•       A commitment to differentiated instruction•       A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices•       A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn•       Self-motivated
