 Posting#: T2501236(T)Posting Date: 16 Jan 2026Posting Close Date: 21 Jan 2026 12:00 PM (CST)Category: Teacher, K-12Type: TERM CONTRACTDescription: Library / Literacy, K-8Location: Riverheights SchoolStart Date: 02 Feb 2026End Date: 06 Apr 2026FTE/Hours: 0.50 per week *Please note: term of employment is as stated above OR return of incumbent. LITERACY - 0.250 FTE We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A minimum of three years elementary teaching experience and/or previous experience as a Literacy Support Teacher.Specialized literacy qualifications.Commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program. Preference will be given to candidates who qualify in one or more of the following:Resource certification.Reading Recovery training.Appropriate university level education courses.LIBRARY - 0.250 FTE We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:A Manitoba Teacher's Certification, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A minimum of five years exemplary teaching experience.Demonstrated willingness to pursue a Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Library Science.Demonstrated leadership in all of the following areas:Resource-based learning;Brain research/differentiated instruction and multiple intelligences;Constructivist educational practices in the classroom;Literacy development of students;Inclusion of technology in learning.A portfolio demonstrating understanding and practice of all of the above is required.Thorough knowledge of Manitoba Education's curricula and support documents.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program.
