Drivers may be assigned to city and/or country routes.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAre established by the Supervisor of Transportation within the parameters of the job profile. Required QualificationsMust hold valid Class 5 Driver's License.Class 2 Driver's License, or willingness to obtain.School Bus Operator's Certificate, with Defensive Driving training, or willingness to obtain.WHMIS training/certification.Demonstrated ability to follow standardized work methods and processes.Ability to interact with service dogs while transporting students, if required.Demonstrated time management and computer/word processing skills.Effective basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsFirst Aid/CPR Certification.Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.Mechanical knowledge.Your cover letter must clearly indicate how you meet the required qualifications.   If unable to apply on-line, please click here for the Support Staff Application form or you may also pick-up a paper copy at the Division Office at 1031-6th Street.  For more information on the requirements of the position and training, you may contact the BSD Transportation Office at 204-729-3975.Permanent CUPE employees presently on staff will be given early consideration, in accordance with COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.Salary as per COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.
