Drivers may be assigned to city and/or country routes.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAre established by the Supervisor of Transportation within the parameters of the job profile. Required QualificationsMust hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License.Class 2 Driver's License, or willingness to obtain.School Bus Operator's Certificate, with Defensive Driving training, or willingness to obtain.WHMIS training/certification.Demonstrated ability to follow standardized work methods and processes.Ability to interact with service dogs while transporting students, if required.Demonstrated time management and computer/word processing skills.Effective basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsFirst Aid/CPR Certification.Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.Mechanical knowledge.Your cover letter must clearly indicate how you meet the required qualifications.   For more information on the requirements of the position or training, you may contact the BSD Transportation Office at 204-729-3975.If unable to apply on-line, please click here for the Support Staff Application form or you may also pick-up a paper copy at the Division Office at 1031-6th Street. This is a repost and previous applicants do not need to reapply.Salary as per COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.
