 Posting#: T2602307(T)Posting Date: 17 Feb 2026Posting Close Date: 25 Feb 2026 12:00 PM (CST)Category: SpecialistType: PERMANENT CONTRACTDescription: Literacy Specialist, K-2Location: Administration OfficeStart Date: 08 Sep 2026End Date: ContinuousFTE/Hours: 0.50 per week *Please note the schedule is TBD by the supervisor. The Brandon School Division strives to enable each student to achieve maximum intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth.  The successful applicant will provide leadership, advice, assistance, and support in the advancement of student achievement, K-8, in the area of literacy.The successful candidate must possess:A Manitoba Teacher’s Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba;Seven to ten years of exemplary teaching practice in elementary;Demonstrated expertise, experience implementing literacy-based curricula in all forms of diversification;Demonstrated expertise, experience and understanding of multi-age education;Demonstrated expertise in research related to literacy and its role in the preparation of the educated citizen.Preference will be given to candidates who possess:A Master’s in Education, or evidence of a Master’s Degree in progress, with major area of undergraduate study in languages and literacy;Resource experience and/or certification in the area of Inclusive Education;Reading Recovery training and/or experience;Literacy support experience.Knowledge of continuous/observable impact.
