The successful applicant will provide leadership, advice, assistance, and support in the advancement of student achievement, K-2, in the area of literacy and the new literacy playbook.The successful candidate must possess:A Manitoba Teacher’s Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba;Seven to ten years of exemplary teaching practice in early years;Demonstrated expertise, experience implementing literacy-based curricula in all forms of diversification;Demonstrated expertise, experience and understanding of multi-age education;Demonstrated expertise in research related to literacy and its role in the preparation of the educated citizen.Preference will be given to candidates who possess:A Master’s in Education, or evidence of a Master’s Degree in progress, with major area of undergraduate study in languages and literacy;Resource experience and/or certification in the area of Inclusive Education;Reading Recovery training and/or experience;Literacy support experience.Knowledge of continuous/observable impact.
