Constance Lake Education Authority Board is accepting applications for Secondary English Teacher Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Centre serves the children and families of Constance Lake First Nation, which is a Cree-Ojibway community and accessible by Highway 11, approximately 30 km west of Hearst, Ontario.The Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Centre offers educational programming to students from Junior Kindergarten to grade 12. Student success is at the forefront with many supports in place for student achievement such as teacher assistants, tutor escorts, literacy resource teacher, numeracy teacher, special education resource teachers, child and youth worker, social workers, cultural coordinator and other support services. Classroom resources such as Ipads, Smartboards, Chrome books and laptops make learning engaging and allow teachers to provide a new and interactive approach to learning. Professional development opportunities are continuously offered to support ongoing learning for all staff. The Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Centre maintains high standards for student achievement and includes land based and cultural learning opportunities and experiences. Employment: Contracted, Full-TimeStart Date:  As soon as possible Salary: Starting at 54,343.00 - 64,628.00 (Catergory A1-A4/Step 0) Based on QECO rating/experience.  Qualifications: - Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent, with Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification (or relevant provincial/territorial certification).- Familiarity with provincial curriculum and Indigenous curriculum resources (e.g. The Ontario FNMI Curriculum, First Nations Holistic Learning Model, etc.).- Special Education Part 1, 2 and 3   - Must hold a Standard First Aid and CPR Certification - Must be able to handle confidential materials with discretion - Criminal Records Check as per CLEA Policy - Ability to speak Cree-Ojibway or Oji-Cree is an asset - Must go through a pre-employment screening by agreeing to complete a drug and alcohol test as per CLEA Policy.- Willingness to participate in community events and school initiatives beyond the classroom.- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required). Closing Date: Open until filled Interested persons should send in their resume, cover letter to and 3 work related references to:Monica John-George, Human Resources/Finance ManagerP.O.
