This opportunity provides a stepping-stone into the world of teaching and most of our current teachers started out as members of our Associate Faculty. The successful candidate is a flexible, dynamic, collaborative, inspirational, educator who is looking to become part of a vibrant teaching and learning community. This is a Temporary Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 28, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027.ResponsibilitiesWork with a teacher mentorCollaborate with staff and facultySupport with Teacher-On-Call needs throughout the schoolSupport children one on one and in small groupsParticipate in ISABC and BC Pro D opportunitiesTake on some School Age Care responsibilities, shuttle bus and recess coverageParticipate in co-curricular and athletics activitiesRequired qualificationsBachelor of Education DegreeBC Teaching CertificationBasic First AidCanadian residency and legally entitled to work in CanadaOur “Must Haves”Respect, dignity and inclusion for all members of the communityCollaborative mind-set and courageous approach to adversityDemonstrated communications skills (oral and written)Creative “out-of-the-box” thinkerFlexible and adaptable and embraces changeProven work ethic with utmost integrityEnthusiasm, eagerness and genuine interest in all aspects of the school’s successSelf-awareness, with a desire for constant self-improvement (goal-oriented)
