Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools Invites Applications For Human Resources OfficerFull Time – Out of Scope  Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools covers a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River. We are a team of 670 staff who provide quality teaching and learning experiences for approximately 5600 students. Position OverviewWorking out of the Catholic Education Centre, the Human Resources Officer delivers high level support to the Deputy Superintendent. The position supports the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and management of all staff in accordance with Collective Agreements, Administrative Procedures, and all legislation related to employment in the Education sector. As the first line of contact in the HR department, the position completes a range of activities with leaders and staff throughout the Division. Ideal Candidate Qualities- Knowledge and expertise in Human Resources,- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality,- The ability to work independently and multi-task,- High level communication skills, both written and spoken,- Excellent time management and self-discipline,- The ability to remain impartial, objective, and positive,- The ability to train, develop, and mentor others,- Proficient with all forms of technology, and able to easily learn new programs,- A working knowledge of Collective Agreements and Employment Law. Desired Qualifications- Human Resources designation- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related area This is a twelve-month full-time position. Starting salary is $59,886.13 as per the Out-of-Scope Compensation Handbook.
