POSITION:TEACHER - CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT OPERATION (PROGRAM 5720)DEPARTMENT:ADULT EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAININGSALARY:FROM $54,119 TO $105,432 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSCOMPETITION NUMBER:TEACHAEVTCEORL2604-01LOCATION:rapid lakeSTATUS:CONTRACTUAL 400 HOURSDURATION:  AUGUST TO december 2026 (WITH A POSSIBILITY OF RENEWAL) Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.   Would you like to join us for a unique and rewarding experience?   We are searching for candidates to fill positions in generalist adult education in the English sector.   PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:   Acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to master tasks relating to the operation of bulldozers, graders, loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators and compact rollers; build and maintain roads and structures, perform excavation work, load trucks and grade large areas.   QUALIFICATIONS: ·         Relevant training as well as a minimum of 5 years recent experience in the industry ·         Competency card   The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board   REQUIREMENTS: ·         Fluency in the two (2) official languages (English and French); ·         Valid Driver’s license (class 3 or higher)   ASSETS:  ·         Brevet d'enseignement or a teaching permit from the province of Quebec or from a Canadian province. ·         Knowledge and teaching of the MEES programs. ·         Experience in teaching English and French as a second language.   CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS: Salary & benefits as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $54,119 to $105,432 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
