 Student Support Services SpecialistChief John Keenatch 2026-2027 academic year Deadline: until filled  Big River First Nation is seeking student services specialist to join the education team for the 2026-2027 academic year. The specialist will be overseeing the Spec. Ed teaching team and working with the teachers and students.  Duties and Responsibilities ·       Provide academic advising and support to students·       Coordinate student orientation programs·       Assist with student enrollment and registration processes·       Develop and implement student retention initiatives·       Offer counseling and support for personal and academic challenges·       Serve as a liaison between students and faculty·       Address student concerns and challenges·       Foster learning, growth, and community engagement. Requirements:•             Great scheduling ability•             Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate.•             Ability to teach students of varying abilities.•             Proficient with Saskatchewan Curriculum.•             Cross- Cultural experience is an asset.•             Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.•             Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.•             Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable)
