Math Catalyst

 Math Catalyst  Big River First Nation Education is seeking a math catalysts to join the education team for the 2026-2027 school year. Duties & Responsibilities: ·       Gathering resources to support math instruction·       Incorporating Indigenous ways of life and ways of learning into the math program·       Providing leadership and support through modeling and mentoring for teachers in planning, assessment, and implementation of curriculum objectives and instructional approaches·       Performing professional development duties with staff related to curricular programs and assisting in the implementation of instructional programs outlined in the curriculum·       Working with in-school staff to explore a wide variety of math instructional strategies·       Assisting students in improving specific math skills in number, patterns/relations, and space/shape stands of the curriculum. Requirements: •             Great scheduling ability & great organizational skills•             Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate.•             Ability to teach students of varying abilities.•             Proficient with Saskatchewan Curriculum.•             Cross- Cultural experience is an asset.•             Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.•             Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.•             Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable)
