The school has a population of approximately 250 students in a 6-12 setting with a staff of 30. School operations in all 3 regions are committed to:      •    Promotion of the Inuktitut Language and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangiit (Inuit Societal Values)      •    Community-Led Education       •    Improving Student Literacy      •    Inclusive Education  Required Qualifications Education & Certification      •    Bachelor of Education degree      •    Valid teaching certificate recognized by, or eligible for certification in            Nunavut (International educated teachers who do not hold a Canadian            teaching certificate must have their credentials evaluated through            Pathways to Teach Canada)  Experience      •    Minimum 2 years of experience in a formal or informal school leadership            role (e.g., Vice-Principal, department head, instructional coach, or            teacher-leader)      •    Minimum 5 years of classroom teacher experience Core Leadership Competencies      •    Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and culturally            responsive school climate, supporting student and staff well"‘being.      •    Demonstrated ability to support instructional leadership in collaboration            with the principal, with a focus on literacy development and inclusive            instructional practices.      •    Demonstrated ability to contribute to instructional improvement through            coaching, professional learning communities (PLCs), and the use of            student achievement data to support student success.      •    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, respectful            relationships with students, staff, families, and community members,            particularly in northern and cross"‘cultural contexts. Assets and Preferred ExperienceLanguage and Cultural Assets      •    Ability to communicate in Inuktitut (verbal and written).      •    Experience supporting Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit-based education.      •    Experience supporting bilingual and ESL programming. Instructional Leadership      •    Graduate level training in education.      •    Demonstrated experience supporting positive school-wide Behaviour and            Learning environments (e.g., Restitution, Tribes, Positive Effective            Behaviour Supports). School Operations & Systems      •    Experience assisting with the implementation of operational directives and            departmental requirements, including collaboration with the District            Education Authority (DEA) and Regional School Operations (RSO).      •    Experience supporting site-based school operations, such as scheduling,            supervision, student support processes, or contributing to school            improvement planning.      •    Exposure to school-based budgeting or resource management,            supporting fiscally responsible decision-making under the guidance of the            Principal. Compensation and Benefits      •    Salary Range (Certified Vice-Principal): from $108,201 prorated/annum to            $157,970 prorated/annum.      •    Nunavut Northern Allowance for Pangnirtung, Nunavut: $19,077           prorated/annum.      •    Subsidized Housing: Available but sharing may be required. Conditions of Employment      •    Applicants currently employed by the Government of Nunavut must hold a            valid Nunavut teaching certificate.      •    Applicants from outside Nunavut must provide a copy of a current public-           school teaching certificate from a Canadian jurisdiction recognized by the            Nunavut Department of Education.
