09-10517    Inuujaq School    Language Specialist   School: Inuujaq School    Community: Arctic Bay, Nunavut     Qikiqtani School Operations invites applications for the following position: Teacher-  Language Specialist Grade: K-12 The closing date for this competition is Open Until Filled Start Date:  August 20, 2026 The status (and end date, if applicable) of this position is:  Term until June 2027 The position is  1.0 (Full-time) Please note:  Subsidized staff housing is NOT available. School Description: Inuujaq School is a K-12 school with approximately 330 students The Nunavut Department of Education is committed to supporting staff development through well-designed professional learning opportunities. Nunavut schools are currently focused on improving literacy outcomes for all students and ensuring students’ learning experiences are culturally relevant and respectful.  Required qualifications:·         Must be bilingual in English and Inuktitut·         Must be eligible for a Nunavut Teaching Certificate as a Language Specialist In the event that there is no successful qualified candidate, this position may be offered as a one-year term under Letter of Teaching Authority Certification. Desired qualifications:•     Subject knowledge, training and experience relevant to the assignment•     Experience and / or training with current assessment methods•     Evidence of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices•     Experience and / or training in classroom management practices and the development of positive learning environments (eg.
