GSSD commits to advancing reconciliation with Indigenous partners by acknowledging our shared history and building a brighter future together.    Contract details: Permanent- 1.0 FTE  Term: To commence August 26, 2026 For a complete job description please access the following link: https://www.gssd.ca/download/425154The role will have a focus on:Educational LeadershipBuilding capacity among teachers to increase student engagement through culturally responsive pedagogy.Knowledge of current educational programming and curricula and understanding how programs connect to one another across subject areas and grade levels.Knowledge and ability to access, share and promote a wide range and variety of instructional and assessment approaches, resources, and technologies in support of Indigenous students and traditional ways of knowing.Analyzing school-specific assessment data to develop and recommend targeted interventions to improve Indigenous student achievement.Assist in the planning and delivery of instruction and assessment including professional development and professional learning communities.Supporting transitions of FNMI students between elementary and high school as well as between high school and post-secondary or the workforce.Working closely with the Indigenous Community Worker in the celebration and recognition of cultural activities in the school. The successful applicant will have the following leadership skills, knowledge, abilities, and educational background:Education :Bachelor of EducationMust hold or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching CertificateExperience with and understanding of: Curriculum, Instruction and AssessmentExperience:Experience working with Indigenous students and families;Experience working with Elders;A deep understanding of Indigenous Culture; andFamiliar with community programming and other social, physical, and mental supports available in the community.
