ATV Driver

OPASKWAYAK EDUCATION SERVICES INC.REQUIRES ATV DRIVER  Summary:The Accessible Transportation Driver will primarily b e responsible for transporting students of various ages t o and from their homes, off campus educational programming and respective schools i n a n effective and safe manner. Duties:Will be responsible for following established routes and ensuring passengers arrive a their destination on time;Safely pick up and deliver students to and from their homes and schools, following the assigned time schedule throughout the day;Must arrive at the bus garage well i n advance o f schedule departures (at least 15 minutes);From time to time driver may transport passengers on special excursions;Will assist students with boarding, exiting and crossing the street while van is stopped;Adhere t o and enforce bus safety rules and standards; Must comply with all  traffic regulations to operate vehicles i n a safe and courteous manner;May be required to resolve concerns i n a positive, respectful and proactive manner;Complete pre-trip inspections prior t o departing for any trip;Complete post trip inspections after any trip;Complete daily driver logs;Complete mileage logs;Adhere t o Opaskwayak Education Services Inc., policies and procedures;Adhere to Manitoba Transport regulations at all times;Read and interpret maps, where and when required;Report any malfunctions o r needed repairs immediately t o the Transportation Supervisor;Will monitor and keep an updated first aid kit i n the van at all times;Will maintain order and discipline among students while they are o n the van;Must have excellent written and communication skills:Will be required to submit annually; drivers abstract, medical, criminal record check and child abuse registry check;Other duties maybe assigned b y his/her supervisor. Working ConditionsInteracts with public at large, including school aged children;Manual dexterity required t o operate a large motor vehicle;Sitting for extended period of time;Exposure t o all weather conditions;Repetitive work;Maybe required to lift up to 40 plus pounds. Requirements;Must possess a valid Class 2 Driver's license;Must possess a valid School Bus Driver Certificate (will train i f you don't have)Must possess a completed satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse RegistryCheck prior to start date;Minimum 2 years experience;Clean driver's abstract and medical;Must have valid First Aid/CPR Certificate;Ability and experience o f loading and unloading a person in a wheelchair i s a must.
