Full Time Generalist Teacher - MOOSOMINSUMMARY OF POSITION:Chief Moosomin School is located on Moosomin First Nation, approximately 30 km north of North Battleford, SK, near the resort Village of Cochin. Chief Moosomin First Nation School has a dedicated team that strives to be the leaders of instructional change for the school and are expected to lead, foster, encourage, and support improvement of the education program on Moosomin First Nation. Chief Moosomin First Nation School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 school.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS AND ABILITIES / ATTRIBUTES:•Plan, implement, evaluate, and report on Moosomin education programs•Develop and monitor program workplans, objectives and outcomes•Ability to embed local First Nation culture into teaching practice•Implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experienceQUALIFICATIONS:The successful candidate must have:•Must hold a Bachelor of Education•Possess a Teacher Professional “A” Certificate•Experience working with First Nation education institutions and programs•Knowledge of First Nation education issues, challenges, and delivery models•Ability to use various computer software systems•Strong written and verbal communication skills•Ability to work independently•Possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and must be SGI approved for insurance purposes•Provide a clean CPIC•Possess a strong work ethic, and be dependable and reliableAll Moosomin First Nation Education employees are eligible for Pension & Benefits through our current provider.
