Waterhen Lake First Nation School invites applicants for the following positions for 2026-2027 School Year:1.    One Grade 1 Teaching Position Salary: Based on education and years of experience on STF (Saskatchewan Teachers Federation) Salary grid FTE (full time/part time/casual): Full time position  Description of position/location of community:Located on the Waterhen Lake First Nation, 45 minutes from Meadow Lake. The Waweyekisik Ed. Centre is a K to 12 school with approximately 270 students & 50 staff Skills/Education required for position:• Be a certified teacher • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution • must be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certificate • Follow the prescribed curriculum of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education; • Be willing to include student's family and community members in classroom activities; • Have respect for and a working knowledge of Canada's First Nations and be willing to implement First Nations Culture, Values and History into the curriculum; • Have high standards and expectations for academic achievement, especially in the areas of literacy and numeracy; • Have excellent classroom management skills and ability in utilizing positive classroom and behavior management strategies; and • Accommodate and include special needs children by adjusting teaching styles and curriculum as required for inclusion.  * Mail or e-mail applications with resume, three professional references and a current criminal record check.
