High School Physical/Health Education Teacher

The ideal candidate will have:------------------------------------------------------------- A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.- Preference will be given to candidate with a Major in Physical education.- Demonstrated successful teaching of grade 9-12 Physical Education.- Sound knowledge of Manitoba Physical Education Curricula.- A high energy level and commitment to continuous improvement of our excellent athletic program.- Demonstrated ability and experience in differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners.- The ability to work in collaboration with other teaching professionals that form the R.D. Parker Physical Education team.- Ability to coach extra curricular activities and assist in coordinating sports related events and tournaments and willing to travel with teams.- Willing to program and work with our special needs students in both our Pathways and IDEAL site.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Excellent classroom management skills and flexibility.- Knowledge and ability to create and maintain a safe educational environment.- A commitment to culturally proficient education.- A knowledge and sensitivity to the traditions of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.- Ability to build a program with a northern perspective.Applicants are requested to submit a comprehensive resume stating qualifications, experience and references.Inquiries can be directed to Angele Bartlett, Superintendent of Human Resources & Policy at 204-677-6154.
