 Posting#: T2601051(T)Posting Date: 17 Apr 2026Posting Close Date: 22 Apr 2026 12:00 PM (CDT)Category: Teacher, K-12Type: PERMANENT CONTRACTTDescription: Resource/Lit/Numeracy, K-8 Location: Meadows SchoolStart Date: 08 Sep 2026End Date: ContinuousFTE/Hours: 1.00 per week RESOURCE, 0.500-FTE We are seeking a qualified Resource Teacher that must possess:A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.Inclusive Education coursework, working towards obtaining an Inclusive Education Certificate within a three year period.Five years successful resource and/or classroom teaching experience.Familiarity with Manitoba Education's Foundation Documents for Inclusive Education.Expertise in curricula, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development, differentiated instruction and assessment.A strong academic background, with instructional expertise specific to literacy and numeracy in a range of grade levels.Preference will be given to candidates who possess:An Inclusive Education Certificate.Strong organization/planning, technology and collaboration skills.Experience with interagency involvement and the ability to multi-task and to be a team player.Expereince with EAL/LAL population.LITERACY, 0.250-FTE We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A minimum of three years elementary teaching experience and/or previous experience as a Literacy Support Teacher.Specialized literacy qualifications.Commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program. Preference will be given to candidates who qualify in one or more of the following:Resource certification.Reading Recovery training.Appropriate university level education courses.NUMERACY, 0.250-FTEThe purpose of this position is to provide  leadership, facilitation, assistance and support to professional certified staff in the implementation of the a school development plan and staff development plan in a manner that aligns Numeracy initiatives with the Continuous Improvement Plan.  Educational Qualifications:A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A Master's in Education specializing in Curriculum & Instruction or Inclusive Education is preferred.Evidence of study in educational research and statistical analysis at the undergraduate or graduate level.Demonstrated understanding of school development planning, age appropriate student development, processes and application of education research procedures, the development of strong collegial relationships based on respect and trustworthiness and systems thinking.Experiential Qualifications:A master teacher with a minimum of five (5) years successful classroom experience.Teaching experience and/or previous experience as a Numeracy Support Teacher or similar role.Skills, knowledge of and/or experience in adult education.Demonstrated exemplary practice.Demonstrated leadership in curriculum implementation.Knowledge or/experience with assessment and evaluation Universal Design for Learning, ICT/Assisted Technology.Resource certification would be an asset.Specific duties include:Provide professional learning supports which build a school's capacity to persistently and consistently implement targeted Numeracy best practices (Tier 1).Provision of assistance and support in the areas of student engagement in learning for a diverse group of multi-age learners.Provision of leadership in the areas of instruction, unit design, integrated learning approaches, rubric development and assessment practice.Facilitate collaborative and learning opportunities in support of Professional Learning Communities within and between schools.Liaise with divisional specialists  and other professional learning supports within the Division.
