About Us: Yellow Quill First Nation is committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for our children and families. Our Head Start Program plays a vital role in promoting early childhood education, development, and cultural awareness for our youngest members. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our Head Start Program as the Coordinator. Position Summary: The Coordinator of the Head Start Program will oversee the implementation and management of the program, ensuring it meets the developmental, educational, and cultural needs of children aged 0-5 years. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to community involvement. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children enrolled in the Head Start Program. - Supervise and support program staff, providing guidance and training as needed. - Foster positive relationships with families, encouraging their involvement and participation in the program. - Collaborate with community partners and resources to enhance program offerings and support for families. - Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in early childhood education. - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities, enrollment, and funding requirements. - Organize and lead workshops, training sessions, and community events to promote early childhood education and cultural awareness. Qualifications: - Early Childhood Education Certificate (required). - A minimum of 2 years of experience working in early childhood education or program coordination. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community members. - Knowledge of Indigenous culture, traditions, and community needs is an asset. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management systems. What We Offer: - A supportive and collaborative work environment. - Opportunities for professional development and training. - Competitive salary and benefits package.  Application Process:Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter (please include position applying for) detailing their relevant experience and passion for working with children to: Shantel Poorman, Human Resources Coordinator - shantel.poorman@yqfn.ca
