French Immersion Teacher (Early Years)

The ideal candidate will have:*A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.*Demonstrated ability to program & teach all academic subjects in early years French Immersion classroom.*Fluent bilingualism in French and English, with strong reading, writing and speaking skills in both languages.*A strong academic background and previous successful French Immersion teaching experience at the early     years level.*Competency in the instruction & assessment of provincial French Immersion curricula.*An understanding of the importance of learning French as second language.*Knowledge of K-8 Manitoba Curriculum and cross curricular planning.*Demonstrated successful teaching in early years setting.*Ability to work well with teachers in a collaborative and consultative environment.*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.*Ability to work cooperatively as part of an education team.*Excellent classroom management skills. *Demonstrated ability and experience in the differentiation of   instruction to meet the needs of all learners.*Ability to build program with a northern perspective.*A knowledge and sensitivity to the traditions and aspirations of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.*A commitment to culturally proficient education.
