French is taught in the Junior School from Grade 1-7. This position focuses on working with Grade 5-7 students. You will be part of a collaborative teaching team supporting the positive growth and development of young girls in the Junior School. Establish lively, engaging classes●      Integrate French culture into lessons●      Ensure continuity of language learning competencies in a vertical and horizontal manner across the Junior School in collaboration with colleagues●      Collaborate with all Junior School teachers to ensure student needs are met●      Differentiate expectations for language learners●      Implement and integrate instructional technology to support learning●      Implement the BC Curriculum for French as a second language, with a focus on the application of the Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling approach.●      Participate in the Junior School co-curricular program Requirements/ Qualifications:●      Native-like French language skills (oral and written)●      Familiarity with TPRS an asset●      B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification●      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent●      Understanding of how to support diverse learning styles at an elementary level●      Collaborative and energetic with a passion for teaching●      Excellent written and oral communication skills●      Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, highly organized with attention to detail●      Energy, commitment, and readiness to participate in the co-curricular program and the diverse life of the school community
