The primary goals of this position focus on the provision of leadership, facilitation, assistance and support to professional certified staff in the implementation of the school development plan and staff development plan in a manner that aligns with the Continuous Improvement Plan. This position is a key support to School Leaders in their work in support of the Continuous Improvement Plan. Educational Qualifications:A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A Master's in Education specializing in Curriculum & Instruction or Inclusive Education is preferred.Evidence of study in educational research and statistical analysis at the undergraduate or graduate level.Demonstrated understanding of school development planning, age appropriate student development, processes and application of education research procedures, the development of strong collegial relationships based on respect and trustworthiness and systems thinking.Knowledge or/experience with assessment and evaluation Universal Design for Learning, ICT/Assisted Technology.Experiential Qualifications:A master teacher with a minimum of five (5) years successful classroom experience.Skills, knowledge of and/or experience in adult education.Demonstrated exemplary practice.Demonstrated leadership in curriculum implementation.Specific duties include:Provide professional learning supports which build a school's capacity to persistently and consistently implement targeted best practices (Tier 1 supports).Provide assistance and support in the areas of student engagement in learning for a diverse group of multi-age learners.Provide assistance and support in the areas of student assessment and school data-collection.Provide leadership in the areas of instruction, unit design, integrated learning approaches, rubric development and assessment through professional development and co-planning/co-teaching approaches.Facilitate collaborative and learning opportunities in support of Professional Learning Communities within and between schools.Liaise with divisional specialists and other professional learning supports within the Division.LIBRARY, 0.250-FTEWe are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:A Manitoba Teacher's Certification, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A minimum of five years exemplary teaching experience.Demonstrated willingness to pursue a Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Library Science.Demonstrated leadership in all of the following areas:Resource-based learning;Brain research/differentiated instruction and multiple intelligences;Constructivist educational practices in the classroom;Literacy development of students;Inclusion of technology in learning.A portfolio demonstrating understanding and practice of all of the above is required.Thorough knowledge of Manitoba Education's curricula and support documents.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program. MATHEMATICS, 0.250-FTEWe are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.A major in mathematics, and a strong academic background.Demonstrated ability to instruct mathematics at the high school level.Demonstrated ability in the differentiation of instruction and evaluation to meet the needs of all learners.Preference will be given to candidates who possess:Previous successful senior years teaching experience.Demonstrated ability and experience with English as an Additional Language learners.Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum.Knowledge, skills and ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivery a quality program.**Please click HERE for important interview information.
