Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Elementary School Teacher School Year: 2026-2027 Location: Early Literacy Center Job Overview: The Teacher will plan and implement an instructional program and provide related educational services for students in assigned grade levels. The incumbent will manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify instructional activities as required, as well as carry out a variety of student monitoring and control of activities. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities, required unless otherwise stated as preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Bachelor's degreeMaster's degree preferredValid Teaching Certification Issued by the Texas Education Agency appropriate to the subject and the grade level of assignment or has received a statement of eligibilityValid Texas ESL Certification for Elementary and Secondary English/ELA teaching assignments, or must be obtained within 6 months of hireValid Bilingual Certification for Bilingual teaching assignmentsValid Driver's license with CDL Certification preferred if coaching a UIL sportCoaching experience preferred if coaching a UIL sportDemonstrated knowledge of FBISD program of studies related to assignments and public school mission, goals and organizationDemonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials and equipment of instructional specialty(ies) to which assignedDemonstrated knowledge of adolescent growth and development or, if applicable, adult learning theoryAbility to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programsAbility to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assignedAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parentsStrong oral and written communication skills
