Elementary Teacher Remedial Specialist

Oklahoma City Public Schools invites applications for the following position: Elementary Teacher-Remedial Specialist/Academic Achievement Location: Arthur Elementary School School Year: 2026-2027 Position Summary: Create a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishing effective rapport with pupils; motivating pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for education, in accordance with each pupil's ability; and establishing good relationships with parents and with other staff members. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s in education or a related fieldOklahoma Teaching Certification in Elementary Education in the appropriate subject or subjects or Alternative Teaching Certification as approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.Elementary Education (1-8); Middle Level English (5-8); must meet Highly Qualified Requirements.Reading Specialist; Early Childhood; Middle Level English; Elementary Education; must meet Highly Qualified Requirements.Must possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, demonstrate self-discipline and initiative, and follow state and district guidelines.
