Elementary Classroom Teacher Position – 2026–2027 School YearMistawasis Nêhiyawak is inviting enthusiastic and dedicated educators to join our team as Elementary Classroom Teachers for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year at Chief Mistawasis School.About the RoleReporting to the School Principal, Elementary Teachers will play a vital role in shaping student learning through culturally grounded, inclusive, and engaging classroom experiences. Teachers will work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and the wider community to foster student achievement and personal growth.Key responsibilities include:Delivering core curriculum aligned with Saskatchewan Ministry of Education outcomesCreating a safe, supportive, and responsive learning environmentIntegrating Indigenous culture, language, and land-based learning practicesDifferentiating instruction to meet diverse student needsParticipating in professional development and school initiativesCommunicating regularly with families to support student progressThis position is ideal for educators who are passionate about working with Indigenous learners and contributing to a community-driven approach to education.Qualifications & RequirementsWe are seeking applicants with the following:Bachelor of Education DegreeSaskatchewan Professional A Teaching CertificateStrong classroom management and planning skillsFamiliarity with trauma-informed and land-based education approachesExperience working in First Nations communities is considered an assetValid First Aid & CPR CertificationClear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
