Educational Assistant

Kopahawakenum Community School is seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated Education Assistant to support student learning and well-being in a positive and inclusive school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, school staff, students, and families to help create meaningful learning experiences for all students. Key Responsibilities:· Support teachers with classroom activities and instructional materials· Assist individual students and small groups· Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment· Support student supervision during classroom, recess, lunch, and bus duties· Assist with literacy, numeracy, and student engagement activities· Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school initiatives· Follow school policies, safety procedures, and administrative direction Qualifications:· High school diploma or GED required· ECE Level 1, 2, or 3 certification would be considered an asset· Previous experience working with children in daycare, tutoring, school, or related settings is highly valued· Experience or training supporting students with special needs, including autism, behavior management, or sign language, is considered an asset· Must pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check· Reliable attendance and punctuality
