Such duties include but are not limited to: Manages and oversees the day-to-day operation of the Technical Training Center facility, staff, students, and processes. Assists the Office Director in managing the overall activities of a remotely located training facility having responsibility for the NRCs technical training program, the Technical Training Center facility and associated capital assets. Manages and oversees training programs for reactor technology, engineering support, and regulatory skills training to meet the training needs identified by formal NRC staff qualification and training programs. Manages and oversees the NRC specialized technical training programs to meet the training needs of NRC staff qualification and training programs and Agreement State Training to support the National Materials Program. Establishes and manages interagency agreements and commercial contracts to satisfy agency technical training needs. Provides expert technical assistance and support to NRC, other government agencies, and foreign regulatory agencies on radioactive materials, health physics, regulatory programs, human resources development, and training systems methodology and standards. Maintains cognizance of the entire spectrum of NRC technical programs and assesses reactor technical training needs or requirements for the NRC technical staff. Coordinates with NRC headquarters offices and regions in the development and implementation of formal NRC nuclear reactor staff training, qualification, and development programs. Directs and oversees the work assigned training staff to ensure accomplishment of the TTC technical training programs.
