Grade 5/6 teacher

 We are seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of a Grade 5/6 Teacher at Muscowpetung Education Center (MEC) on a term contract for the 2026 - 2027 school year, with possibility of new contract for the 26-27 school year. Start date is August 24, 2026. We are located at Muscowpetung First Nation, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for students.A working knowledge of Canadas Indigenous Peoples and to integrate the Saulteaux culture, values and history into the curriculum.Have high standards and expectations for academic achievement, especially in the areas of literacy and numeracy.Have excellent classroom management skills, and able to utilize and demonstrate positive classroom/behavior management strategies.Accommodate and include special needs children by adjusting teaching styles and curriculum as required for inclusion.
