Start Date: August 24, 2026The Dehcho Divisional Education Council invites applications from certified teachers who are dedicated to teaching and have experience an or interest in the cultural and liguistic heritage of the Dene. The teacher will offer a holistic, program that supports the the the language and cultural heritage of the students and addresses the needs of all students in a multi-grade setting. QualificationsMust hold or be eligible for a NWT Professional Teaching CertificateHave experience teaching multi-grade classes, grades 7 - 12Experience using and/or understanding of Universal Design for LearningExperience providing culturally relevant programmingExperience with British Coumbia curriculumExperience teaching humanities, social studies, or English language artsKnowledge and experience with Inclusive EducationFamiliarity with SEE (Social Emotional and Ethical ) Program, or an equivalentAbility to work as a team member in planning, delivery and assessment of program and students
