Elementary Physical Education Teacher-AHTAHKAKOHP Chief Ahtahkakohp School is a Pre-k to grade 12 educational institution located on the Ahtahkakohp Cree Nation in north central Saskatchewan (Canwood, SK).  The Ahtahkakohp Cree Nation is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill the full-time position of an Elementary Phys Ed Teacher.  Duties and Responsibilities:  Nurture, support and guide young learners  Prepare engaging lessons and interactive learning activities/materials  Conduct formal and informal assessment of students  Facilitate learning activities both within the classroom setting and outdoors  Participate in co-curricular school activities  Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the classroom  Support families with open, ongoing communication  Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives that follow SK curriculum standardsPosition Qualifications:  Possess or be in application of a valid SK Teaching Certificate  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in education  Understands and uses current practices and teaching strategies  Models a strong work ethic as well as high standards of commitment  Must have an awareness and appreciation of Native culture  Fosters school mission, values and sense of community through student-centered decisions  Effectively communicates with staff, parents and students  Maintains professionalism through all school interactions and activities  Values continual growth and development of school programs and curriculum
