Sapotaweyak Cree Nation is seeking a visionary and dedicated leader to join our team as the Director of Education. As the Director of Education, you will lead our team at Sapotaweyak Education Authority working with educators, students, and families to create a culturally responsive and academically comprehensive educational environment. This will include Neil Dennis Kematch Memorial School, High School, Adult Education, Post Secondary , and Community Based programs. What You Will do:Ø  Create, develop and implement strategic educational plans that reflect the needs, values and traditions of Sapotaweyak Cree Nation.Ø  Lead and mentor a team of enthusiastic educators and staff.Ø  Build strong relationships with students, parents, and community.Ø  Advocate for the educational needs of Sapotaweyak Cree Nation at regional and national levels.Ø  Ensure the integration of First Nations knowledge and perspectives into the curriculum.What We Are Looking For:Ø  A committed and experienced education leader with a deep understanding of First Nations education.Ø  Experience working with First Nations Communities.Ø  Budgeting, financial knowledge and Quick Books.Ø  Strong organization, strategic planning and leadership skills.Ø  A passion for making a difference in the lives of students and community. Join Us in Making a Difference:At Sapotaweyak Cree Nation, we are committed to providing an education that prepares all our students for the future and making it the best.
