Sahtú Divisional Education Council invites qualified applications for: High School TeacherLocation: Chief T'Selehye School, Fort Good HopeEmail your application to: teach@sahtudec.caRequired education and recommended knowledge, qualifications and experience:Must hold or be eligible for a NWT Teaching CertificateBachelor of Education degree with experience teaching junior high and high schoolWorking knowledge of the British Columbia, Alberta and Northwest Territories grade 8 - 12 curriculaAbility to Indigenize content and pedagogy to leverage student successStrong collaboration skills as teachers work together to improve student academic outcomes in numeracy and literacy in junior high and competencies of NWT capable persons in high schoolEmbrace strong connections with community and be open to engage fully in the rich cultural and extracurricular life of the schoolSubject specialization in high school is preferred but the abillty to teach a wide variety of high school courses aligned with the transition to the BC curriculum is necessary Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications and ranges from $95,232 - $153,748 per annum, plus an attractive benefits package including a Northern Living Allowance of approximately $28,000 and relocation expenses. A vulnerable sector check is a requirement. For information, the NWT Teachers’ Collective Agreement is available online at https://my.hr.gov.nt.ca/resources/terms-employment/nwtta-collective-agreement
